Feel in control of your fertility
We’re studying a whole-body approach to fertility and looking for women who want to be part of it.
You don’t have to figure this out alone
You’ve probably spent a lot of time researching your options, parsing information, and trying to make sense of a process that can feel anything but straightforward. That’s exactly why the Fit for Fertility study is built around an approach that gives you more information and more support so you can take control of your fertility journey.
This national research project is built on the premise that nutrition, movement, and lifestyle can be a treatment option for infertility. Led by researchers from Université de Sherbrooke, together with a team of dietitians and kinesiologists, it examines whether a whole-body, team-supported approach can meaningfully improve fertility outcomes for women.
For eligible participants, our main ask is simple: channel the searching, hoping, and waiting you’e already doing into something that will move the needle for women experiencing infertility and help change the standard of care across the country.
Healthy mom. Healthy pregnancy. Healthy baby.
We've already done preliminary research. In our pilot study, 127 women were recruited in a similar program in Sherbrooke. Among women who stayed in the study for at least 6 months, 60.8% of those who received the intervention became pregnant, compared to 38.6% who did not receive any intervention. The intervention improved metabolic health, making women more likely to conceive naturally and get pregnant than women who received standard care at the fertility clinic. For the women in the intervention group who still needed standard fertility treatment, their bodies responded better to it. Now we want to know if these results hold across Canada, across different clinics, different backgrounds, and different bodies.

Let the work you're already putting in finally feel like it counts
Infertility can make you feel like your body is working against you, like you've done everything right, and it still isn't cooperating. That loss of control is one of the hardest parts. Participating in this research puts you back in the driver's seat. While you can't always control the outcome, you can control what you're doing about it.
